How to use 1 IDE cable for hard disk and cdroom

For savings, you can use a IDE cable for hard drive and CD/DVD room. This is not effect to PC performance. You just set one of them as master and other as slave, Open the case of your PC computer and do this steps.
1. To get good performance you must set the hard disk as Master, plug the small jumper behind hard disk to Master, see the instruction on the top of hard disk and choose the master set















2. CD/DVD room must set as slave. Change the small jumper behind the CDroom to slave configuration. Usually, Put the jumper in the midle. There are 3 pairs of jumper configuration.








Now, you can use 1 IDE cable to handle 2 device ( hard drive and cdroom ).
