Reset BIOS PC Motherboard

To reset bios of PC motherboard, maybe when you want to log in BIOS and there are the password that you don't know. You just release cmos battery, wait about 2 minutes and plug again. Now, Bios will reset to default setting and the password will gone.This important, at least after the BIOS has been reset you must re-sett the date, time and boot priority. If you want to re-install OS you can sett boot priority with cdroom or usb cdroom as first.
This instruction can be used for some Laptop/Notebook. But if you want to release the cmos battery you must be careful because the laptop case should open for some laptop.

Important when replace processor

When you will replace the processor unit, you must know FSB size for your motherboard. Because mistake selection will cause no boot PC. For example, your motherboard support with FSB 400 and you plug FSB 512 of processor, so i sure that your computer never boot.
On the physical of Processor you can see detail specification.
Next, also, you must know maximum range of your motherboard. For example if your motherboard support with pentium 4 2,8 ( maksimum range ), so you can replace the processor pentium 4 with 2,8 GHz ( maksimum ) only, or the processor with range less than 2,8. and so on

Be careful to replace the processor, if you broke the processor pin you can't repair it. or very difficult to repair it.

Motherboard MSI over heat

Hari ini saya sedang menangani motherboard MSI LGA yang rusak dengan kondisi seperti di bawah ini :

1. Komputer hanya menyala sebentar, kemudian restart dan mati
2. Temperature CPU/Processor mencapai 90 derajat Celcius dan terus naik sampai mati/restart ( berdasarkan monitor di Bios.

Saya langsung check pendingin Processor yang ternyata pastanya sudah kering dan berkerak, sehingga menyebabkan permukaan pendingin tidak menempel secara sempurna pada permukaan processor. Maka kerak bekas pasta tersebut saya bersihkan, demikian juga kerak pada permukaan Processor. Dan di beri pasta baru secukupnya. Kemudian saya pasang lagi dan Komputer saya nyalakan. Ternyata Temperature pada Hardware Monitor di Bios menunjukkan 45 derajat celcius ( normal ). Dan komputer berjalan normal, tidak restart/mati sendiri..

To overcome this matter you must do some job :
1. Open The computer Case
2. Discharge all cable connection on motherboard
3. Take motherboard out
4. Clean up with paintbrush
5. Check all electrolytic capacitor ( EC )
6. If you see this EC not normally ( puffy, broke, have erupt, etc. ) you must replace it
7. Check all solder condition and repair if needed
8. Be sure that you have finished this job, as well as possible
9. Re-assembling motherboard on the case and try to turn ON your computer
10. Don't forget to check temperature
